P3D Bone PSI is a 3D printed patient specific bone implant based on the patient’s own CT/MR scan.
The fully customized implant enables simple and short procedure times, low risk of post-surgical complications and secures optimal aesthetic and functional outcomes.

Our implants are made from a degradable bio-ink of tricalcium phosphate and fatty acids which are natural bodily components. This allows implants to remodel over time and become natural living bone.

The implants’  bone-like internal porosities and cavities allow for the creation of channels for blood vessels and nerves within the implants. These channels are critical for bone regeneration and result in a strong ingrowth of bone and fast recovery.

P3D Bone with Additives

Our P3D Bone can be designed to deliver a range of additives such as growth factors, antibiotics and chemotherapy with wide ranging benefits for patients.

The 3D printed bone implant can release one or more additives over a prolonged period of time as the resorption speed and drug release rate can be controlled by varying the fatty acid tail length.

This allows for a local long-term controlled drug release and thereby a more effective way of dosing medication which reduces the amount of the drug needed. This helps contain costs, reduces the development of resistant bacteria and benefits patients, as lower doses are less harmful to the liver
and kidneys that metabolize the drug.
